Good afternoon and happy Monday!
This was a pretty busy weekend for us, with a lot of running errands, sprucing up the yard, and cleaning house going on!
I actually got a little painting done, too. I finished 2 smaller pieces, and plan to start a 24×24 on paper tonight. This one will be framed and potentially entered into a national contest. I do love that my supply closet is still nice and organized…and clean! Of course, there is good reason for that…I haven’t been in my studio AT ALL. I just have not had the motivation. Hopefully that is about to change and I can start painting regularly again.
I did get a little adventurous in the kitchen. I’ve been trying out some new Mediterranean recipes, and the one I made Saturday was definitely a winner for hubby. I made a tuna salad, serviced on heirloom tomato slices and/or with pita chips. I’m a strict vegetarian, but I did have to try this. It was amazing!!!
Mr. Sarge is almost at the 6 week mark, so only a few more weeks of restricted activity. I’ll need to contact the surgeon to find out how much exercise he can have at that point, as I’ve heard conflicting instructions. Our release form says he can go back to his regular routine after 8 weeks, working him slowly into exercise for an additional 4 weeks. Well, Sarges ‘regular’ is vigorous running, so we might have a bit of a conflict there. I think we’ll most likely err on the side of caution and walk him on-leash around the back yard for a few weeks to build some strength.
Be sure and check back for more painting pics! Today I’m posting a mini oil named ‘Wild Roses’ and another oil named ‘Trio’, as well as my Mediterranean tuna salad.
Bye for now!
